How to make Mysore Bonda.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup plain Yogurt/Dahi
  • 1 cup Shivtara Maida
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  • 2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • salt to taste
  • oil for deep-frying

Instructions
 

Method:

  • To make mysore bonda, combine the Dahi/Yogurt and ½ cup of water in a deep bowl and whisk well.
  • Combine all the ingredients, including the Yogurt/Water mixture in a deep bowl and mix very well using your hands.
  • Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, shape each portion into a round using your hands and deep-fry, a few at a time, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  • Serve with coconut chutney & green chutney
